Browsing through Fortune magazine, I ran across this article about how badly the forecasters have missed the mark, given the sub-prime market woes and 100 dollar oil. It's good to see even people who do it for a living are making mistakes.

So, my guess is as good as their guess, with the exception that I don't pretend to be a financial analyst. So, check out what people are saying (Recession Recession) and check it against what they said last year (Boom Boom) and take what all the talking heads say with a grain of salt.
